Outcome Measures
Daily coping strategies. A person who stutters must learn to cope with a wide range of speaking situations. Developing coping strategies is often more important than improving speech control.

Controlled speech
. This measure is based on the ability to control the moment of stuttering as needed. My concern is that the person control the speaking situation and the moment of stuttering, not necessarily be 100% fluent.

Family understanding and involvement. Each family member understands their role in helping the person achieve success.

Plan for long-range management
. The person who stutters must know how to manage their problem independently at the end of treatment.
